The National Association of Disabled’s Enterprises (NADE) was established in Mumbai in the year 1987 with the main objective of motivating and supporting unemployed and dependent disabled people of India to come out of their dejected and disappointing conditions and organize themselves into groups (co-operatives of the disabled) and take up suitable self-employment avenues to earn a livelihood through their own efforts based on “self-help” and “mutual help”. With the mission of eradicating unemployment amongst the disabled population of India, NADE has reached thousands of differently-abled people of all categories. The founder of NADE, Mr. K. N. Radhakrishnan Nair has an experience of more than 45 years in this field and has a vision to set up factory-type rehabilitation centres all over India to create employment on a large scale for all types of differently-abled people.
